Here's a short overview of the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games.

Overview
Diamond and Pearl. The fourth generation of Pokémon games. They were the first Pokémon RPG games going out on the DS, so as you can imagine, many new feature came along.
The game takes place in the new region of Sinnoh. How exiting is that! The DS brings along 3dish graphics, so that's also something to love. You can play as male or female player, like you could in the R/S/E series. The story line is fabulous in my opinion, and it's fun to complete the game. Another new feature of this game is that the lighting changes with the time of day. Also, certain Pokémon can only be caught at certain times.
The 2 screens enabled there to be a Pokétch, which is a Pokémon watch. It basically take the place of the PokéNav. There are many different features of this watch that you can collect along the game. Some are maps with special things, some are clocks. You just have to go find the rest =P
Another amazing new feature of these two games is Wi-Fi. The ability to connect with anybody around the globe made this game awesome. People in Japan can battle someone in the US. You can also trade and chat.
And... Another cool feature. You can bring Pokémon from your R/S/E and Fr/Lg versions onto Pokémon Diamond and Pearl! The Pokémon get wiped off on your R/S/E and Fr/Lg versions though. Pokémon won't be allowed to transfer if they still know a HM move, so make sure to go to the move deleter to erase the HMs!
